Pre-recorded from INTA's 2024 Annual Meeting

Following the pandemic and recent recession, it seems timely for us to discuss IP (primarily trademarks) and recession. Speakers in this capsule keynote will set the stage by discussing how to identify what a recession is, when it may be coming, and its financial impact on trademark portfolios. They will then turn to how both law firms and corporate practitioners can prepare for future recessions and the various factors that should be considered. Lastly, they will discuss how technology can and does play a role in how the trademark industry deals with a recession, focusing on the recent INTA survey on technology. This session is sure to touch on important issues for associate and corporate practitioners alike!
